چکیده

Immune complexes, human erythrocytes coated with human IgG antibody, inhibit the migration of lymphocytes from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. No correlation could be observed between migration inhibition and Waaler-Rose titre (sheep cell agglutination titre) in inidvidual patients. Production of migration inhibitory factor (MIF) could be detected in 16 of 20 cultures of RA lymphocytes incubated with antigen-antibody complexes, when the supernates were tested with guinea pig macrophages. Only two supernates of healthy persons showed migration inhibition activity under these conditions. The results suggest that migration inhibition by antigen antibody complexes in RA represents a true reaction of delayed hypersensitivity.

تغییرات کمی لنفوسیت‌های CD29+ و سلول‌های NK در بیماران مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید در مقایسه با افراد سالم

Received: 17 April, 2009 Accepted: 18 Nov, 2009 Abstract: Background & Aims: Rheumatoid Arthritis is an inflammatory disease. The cause is yet unknown. It is possible that in causing the disease immunological responses be involved. The aim of this study was to compare CD29+T lymphocytes and NK cells in rheumatoid arthritis patients and healthy people. Materials & Methods: In this study twe...

Studies on Mediator Production by Highly Purified Human T and B Lymphocytes

Highly purified populations of T and B lymphocytes obtained by affinity column separation were stimulated by antigen and their ability to produce two mediators, migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and lymphocyte mitogenic factor (LMF) was assessed. Both T- and B-cell populations made MIF; the production of MIF was antigen-specific using purified protein derivative of tuberculin, streptokinase-str...

Lymphocytes transformed by Epstein-Barr virus. Induction of nuclear antigen reactive with antibody in rheumatoid arthritis

Sera from approximately two-thirds of patients with rheumatoid arthritis contain an antibody which is reactive with a nuclear antigen present in human B-lymphocyte tissue culture cells. The immunological reaction can be demonstrated by precipitation and immunofluorescence. Evidence is present that the reactive nuclear antigen is associated with Epstein-Barr (EB) virus-transformed lymphocytes. N...

Study effects of Staphylococcus aureus superantigen C on production of C- reactive protein in rat

Background and purpose: Recently, microbial super antigens have been reported in blood and synovial fluid of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Whether or not, the presence of these super antigens could provoke the induction of serologic diagnostic factors, including CrP in patients? the purpose of this study was to production and purification one of the super antigen C of Staphylococcus aureus and...
